    Description

    48 pages
Very thoroughly detailed photogravure brochure advertising the elegant accommodations for first class passengers to be found aboard their principal Pacific Ocean steamships of the 1920's: the EMPRESS OF CANADA (1920), the EMPRESS OF RUSSIA (1913), and the EMPRESS OF ASIA (1913). These vessels made the Pacific circuit between Vancouver, Victoria, Yokohama, Kobe, Nagasaki, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Manila until World War II. The EMPRESS OF CANADA and the EMPRESS OF ASIA, while serving as transports, were sunk by enemy action and the EMPRESS OF RUSSIA was gutted by fire while being fitted out to repatriate troops after the war.
