  • Condition: This rare SOY SAUCE OR VINEGAR CRUET is in excellent condition, it looks like it was never used or put on display. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or any damage. There are no marks anywhere on the piece. The colors are super clean, fresh, and vibrant. The cruet has been kept out of the light too, as there is no color fade, the colors are bright and beautiful. There is no shelf wear or any chipping to the bottom. Also, there is no chipping to the threads used to tighten the lid to the curet. We think you will be very happy with the condition.     Description

    For your consideration is a is a stunning
    Soy Sauce, Vinegar, or Oil Cruet
    that will be sure to impress.  The surface is
    cloisonné
    , enameled, raised relief artwork crafted in the Famille Rose motif.  The piece was
    definitely
    hand painted.  The form is spherical with the matching lid.  The lid is to be screwed on and slightly opened to pour the liquid so the top does not fall off in to the food.  We tried to translate the Chinese characters and we think the jar is celebrating longevity and prosperity for a long time, if you can give us a better translation we would love to know.  It measures 4-1/2" tall with the lid on and the widest part of the body has a diameter of 2-7/8".  We have seen this form decorated with other artwork with the same
    Chinese characters around the jar and even the same characters on the bottom. This one is numbered with 16, we have see some numbered 14 and 11.
