Vintage Manor Wear Pottery Whitby, England Matches Boot Manor House.  Good Vintage Condition!  Some wear from use.  Red border has rubbed off in places.
Whitby is a seaside town in Yorkshire, northern England, split by the River Esk.
This Manor Ware came from there.  It's from the 1940's.  They are collector's items. Each piece is collected from the town/place and will have the name of the town/place and a hand painted picture or flowers.  This boot has the English Manor House painted on the side.  It was used to hold matches.  It is hard to see on this boot but on the opposite of the picture toward the bottom of the boot in very small engraving says "Manor Ware".  Boot measures approx 3" in height and 2" in length.  See pictures for these details and more.
