VINTAGE FORTNUM AND MASON PICCADILLY LONDON TWO ADVERTISING FOLDERS & KEY CHAIN

Description

This listing is for two rare advertising folders and a key ring from FORTNUM AND MASON, the famous department store on Piccadilly in LONDON. The little folder called THE RITES OF SPRING was printed to celebrate the arrival of Spring and special prices were being offered from MAY 27th to JUNE 21st. The details are charmingly presented in the 10 pages of this folder which measures 5 7/8 inches by 8 1/4 inches. The clever and full of fun text is accompanied by art work which is by a well known illustrator whose initials are P.D. and the  piece is in excellent condition. We brought it home from London in the 1980s and have been amused many times when reading it again and again. The large folder which measures 8 1/4 inches by 11 3/4 inches is called THE DELECTABLE HISTORY OF FORTNUM & MASON and  has 8 pages with illustrations  by the same artist. This delightful piece which is in mint condition was printed in 1982 to celebrate the 275th anniversary of F & M and the history makes fascinating reading. The little brown leather key chain which has the famous F & M clock logo on it will come with the folders. Made in Italy it measures 1 3/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches plus a 2 inches link chain. It has been used and is a bit worn but still very useful. Three rare and delightful bits of memorabilia from a favorite place in London where we hope to shop again as soon as possible.
