Vintage Famille Rose Vase. A decorative Chinese Baluster Urn, dating to the late Art Deco period Circa 1940.
Copious decorations abound with this lovely Art Deco Example.
The ceramic shows a crisp white ground upon which a gilt finish shines.
The body is decorated with four panels, alternating between two scenes. In the front and back panel is a vibrant, colorful court scene of several seated figures. The secondary panels depict a bountiful tree that is visited by a bird of paradise and butterflies.
Gold-colored borders hosts garlands of foliate motif throughout the vase.
Dimensions are: 18.5” Tall - 8.25” Wide - 3.25” Vase mouth opening.
It is in awesome vintage condition. I don’t see any cracks. scrapes, etc. There is a small surface “ding” on one of the panels. Pretty much unnoticeable unless being right up close and looking for it. As I said, it is just a surface blemish. Beautifully hand painted.
