vintage China Enameled Porcelain Ginger Jar, 8¼" tall, Chinese Lord scene

Description

Decorated Ginger Jar
Polychrome enameled porcelain jar decorated with two main panels.
One panel depicts a Chinese lord at his desk, with an armed warrior, a
woman, and an elderly man standing to the side.  The panel on the
other side is an explosion of flowers, leaves, fruit, birds and butterflies.
In between the panels, on a background of painted gold, are flowers
and sacred carp.  The top of the lid is also decorated with a scene of
people in a house.  The stand is solid wood, with a cut-out scroll design.
Jar is red stamped underneath, with several numbers.  Likely dates to
the 1960s.
Jar size is 7" diameter x 7" tall, 8¼" tall with the lid in place, and 9¼" tall
when on its wooden stand.
For decorative purposes only.  Not for food use.
CONDITION:  Nick on inside edge of rim (see last photo).  A couple a
small nicks in the enamel artwork.  Wood pedestal has
wear to its stain on much of it.
