    Victorian trade cards are an early form of advertising during the 1800 - early 1900's. Often colorful subjects reflecting current cultures and mediums and presented to encourage buyers. Most popular during and after the Civil War period and becomming popular collectibles. Often these cards have glue or residue on the backs where they were collected in albums and usually some age is apparent.
