Spontoon hawk, hand engraved "Zig zag", with burned handle

Description

The spontoon hawk is a deadly weapon of war. While not as well rounded as a camp tool as a tomahawk, it is brutally efficient at it's task. While not sharp, the curved tip could easily penetrate any armor on the field. It that didn't work, the hammer poll certainly would. This cold steel spontoon has been hand engraved with a zig zag pattern reminiscent of native design. The set screw was removed and replaced with a brass inlay. The brass spot on the other side is paint, as cold steel now makes their spontoons of an undrillable metal! The 22" hickory handle has been burned and engraved with a matching pattern, charred, and adorned with brass nails. Please note, this is a traditional slip fit, or friction fit hawk. This means that the blade is not permanently affixed to the handle.  It is designed as such to not take damage during throwing.  If the blade comes loose, a few blows to the top (blade side) of the handle will tighten it up.  See pics for details and thanks for looking.
