    Description

Up for auction is this Ranger RD II Hawk Pick from Ontario Knife Co. with its original black nylon DeSantis sheath.  Part of Ontario's Ranger series designed by Justin Gingrich, this item has been discontinued and now has become scarce.  This example was purchased new in 2010, has never been used, carried or sharpened and is in new old stock condition (see photos).
It's made of a single piece of ¼-inch thick 1075 high carbon steel at 53-55 Rc with a black textured powder coating, canvas Micarta scales, a lanyard hole and a ridged striker on the butt of the handle.  The blade measures about 6-¾ inches wide and features a 3-½ inch flat ground blade on one end and a 2 inch spike on the other.  Overall length is about 12-¼ inches and it weighs in at approximately 1 lb., 12 oz. (just about 2 lbs. in the sheath).
This tomahawk is a seriously robust tool in a fast, compact and easy to maneuver configuration, available here at substantial savings.
