    Description

    NESS Co New England Steamship fork. Used in the dining areas of many different steamers of the old Fall River Line, Old Colony line, and the NESS Co., possibly used for crab.   It is from the 1920-30s era, may be older.  The reverse is marked INTERNATIONAL SILVER COMPANY then the letters I and S are each in circles.   Also at the fork end is the letter "H".   The company logo N.E.S.S.Co.  is clearly marked.   The silver plating does not show the metal underneath in any spots but there are some tarnish stains here and there.  It evidently wasnt used much- there are only a few faint scratches.   A great collectors piece.  See pics..
