These simply do not surface anymore… impossible to find.
These were not available at the show… they were commissioned by the promoter, Nederlander and given to VIPs.. also they were sold by the artist.
This poster EXCELLENT CONDITION:
If you know about velvet posters, you know that people aren’t aware they have to be rolled tight. They are slick and tend to slide. Most did, and have edge dings.
I’ve personally seen almost 20 of these throughout the years. Not one being mint.
The good part is the crushed velvet hides the damage perfectly.
This copy has a few handling spots visible on the reverse.
The last two pictures show the bottom left edge… the main issue with this print.
Back then front. You can see what I mean about the velvet hiding the edge dings.
You’ll be happy with the condition… looks new.
It’s been stored flat in archival conditions for years...
It’s lucky number 104 of only 150 copies printed.
It’s also doodled with the classic flaming skull remark.
