Constructed from impact resistant high grade acrylic which is strong and resists yellowing with age.
Translucent blue acrylic of the base creates "magic" water effect when light comes through it.
​Bases are pre-drilled with 2 symmetrical holes and have soft rubber pads in corners
All parts are cut for precision fit. Edges and corners are polished and “soft” to touch.
SIZE:
For 1:1250 scale mid-size cruise ships: Zuiderdam, Eurodam, Queen Victoria etc
Inside of clear cover: Length 11” (28 cm) x Width 2” (5 cm) x Height 3” -7.5 cm (clearance above the base 2 13/16”- 7.1 cm)
Thickness of the acrylic for clear cover 3/32” ( 0.25 cm), for base- 2 layers of 3/16” (0.4 cm).
Two symmetrical 3/16” holes for screws along the central axle of the base, centers of the holes are 6” ( 15.2 cm) apart.
This case will fit many mid-size waterline cruise ship models made by Scherbak in scale 1:1250, like Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth,  Zuiderdam, Celebrity Millennium, Carnival Spirit, Costa Atlantica etc.
It will also fit many Van Ryper, Bassett Lowke, Richard Wagner (Riwag) and  range of 1:700 scale waterline models made from plastic kits like Tamiya, Hasegawa, Dragon, Trumpeter etc
