    Description

Ten photogravure images promote the luxuries to be found aboard the Spanish Line's S.S. INFANTA ISABEL DE BORBON which, along with her sister ship S.S. REINA VICTORIA EUGENIA, modernized the pre-World War I Spanish merchant marine in terms of engineering, accommodation and safety. INFANTA ISABEL DE BORBON would be re-named URUGUAY in 1931 after the overthrow of the Spanish monarchy and, along with her sister ship, be sunk at her moorings in Barcelona in 1939 during a Nationalist air raid during the Spanish Civil War.
