WD40
to remove it Never store your Axe for long time in leather sheath. Leather can absorb water which will rust the Axe. Always clean the blade after using and apply oil or wax (please use cooking oil on Axe) before you store it, for its longer life and durability.
Care Instruction:
1095 High Carbon Steel and Damascus Steel have good reputation for holding an edge very well, but remember they are not stainless steel. They Need Proper Care !!
Should be Dried and Oiled after every use to prevent rust.
If you see they are getting rusty, we prefer to use (000) steel wool and rub it
genitally
it will easily takes the rust off from the metal.
